No Time?

Is a busy life making it tough to fit in enough active time? Here's a little mental shift that can help: "My body's natural state is to be in motion, not to be still."

10 minutes of cardio gives you 10 times more benefit than 0 minutes of cardio.

10 sit-ups make you tighter and stronger than you were before.

Look for little gaps in your day. Your body wants to move! Find every chance to:

  • Park at the far end of the lot when shopping, at school, or work.

  • Take the stairs instead of an elevator.

  • Do push-ups. Do sit-ups.

  • Walk the dog a little longer, at a brisk pace.

  • Do chair or floor exercises while watching TV.

  • Cut back on-screen time. Get outside!

  • Walk around the block before walking to the mailbox.

  • Grab 10-minute bursts of time to be active.
