Boost Your Confidence
The more confidence you have to make a change, the more success you will have. That's a proven fact!
You may have doubts about being able to lose weight and keep it off. But, don't let this get in your way. You can do it!
On a scale of 1 to 10: How confident are you that you'll be able to change your eating and physical activity to control your weight?
Reflect on your number
Ask yourself:
"What makes my confidence level what it is?"
"What would it take to make that number 2 or 3 points higher?"
"What would make me more confident?"
Arrange to make those things happen
Recall things you did that worked in the past. Now:
Think about how you did those things. What did you do to make it happen?
Think about how you can use your past successes to achieve what you want to do now.
Keep telling yourself you can do it.
Ask for help. Family members, friends, and your care manager can support and encourage you if you just ask.
Remember, you can always send your care manager a message.
Spend time with those who offer encouragement. Join a support group. You'll feel more confident when you know you have support behind you!
People almost always feel more confident once they get started with something. So, take a small step toward your goals today!
