Boost Your Confidence

The more confidence you have to make a change, the more success you will have. That's a proven fact!

You may have doubts about being able to lose weight and keep it off. But, don't let this get in your way. You can do it!

On a scale of 1 to 10: How confident are you that you'll be able to change your eating and physical activity to control your weight?

Reflect on your number

Ask yourself:

"What makes my confidence level what it is?"

"What would it take to make that number 2 or 3 points higher?"

"What would make me more confident?"

Arrange to make those things happen

Recall things you did that worked in the past. Now:

  • Think about how you did those things. What did you do to make it happen?

  • Think about how you can use your past successes to achieve what you want to do now.

  • Keep telling yourself you can do it.

  • Ask for help. Family members, friends, and your care manager can support and encourage you if you just ask.

Remember, you can always send your care manager a message.

Spend time with those who offer encouragement. Join a support group. You'll feel more confident when you know you have support behind you!

People almost always feel more confident once they get started with something. So, take a small step toward your goals today!
